Inspection checklist
An inspection checklist is the structured form that guides a review: what has to be verified, in what order, which answers are valid and what evidence is required at each point. It turns a criterion into something repeatable across different people.
Its main function is not to remind but to standardise. Two inspectors with the same checklist produce comparable reports; without one, each reports whatever seems relevant to them and the results cannot be aggregated or compared across periods.
It should be versioned. When the standard changes, the new inspection uses the new form and the earlier ones keep the version in force on their date: if they overwrite each other, you lose the ability to defend an old inspection with the criteria under which it was carried out.
